As many of you know, I haven’t been very active in the HP fandom recently. I wouldn’t have made any mention of this as I have learned a lot since I was a newbie. Where I once might have posted on everything that angered or upset me, I’ve learned just to let most things go. However, it has come to my attention that several posts have been made that smear me. One of them specifically names me, and it wasn’t even f-locked at first. Everyone could see the smear. I’m not going to name names, however. As a commenter to the post said, that sort of thing only spreads the wank.

A friend asked me for my side of a disagreement which I gave. I later discovered my words were dramatically altered and sent to the other person involved in the disagreement. In response, this other person emailed me, but I chose to remove myself from the situation. Without my willing participation, I was publicly attacked in the only forum left to this person. Wank piled up, and I did not want involve myself.

To my friends: I hope you take what has been said of me with a grain of salt. I haven’t always been the most diplomatic person, but I never intended to offend anyone. If I have ever hurt anyone with my passion, I regret it. I don’t feel I deserve this sort of public roasting. No one does.

I'm not going to support the strike. LJ is a business. They're not here to give things away for free at the detriment of themselves. It costs money to maintain bandwidth, and I don't blame them for the move they made. They have to cover expenses. Would you expect to go into the mall and get handed free clothes? No. So why expect for LJ to give free handouts? And don't forget, the new basic accounts still don't cost anything. Viewing an add isn't going to kill you, and this strike isn't going to force them to change their minds. I like LJ, and I don't have a problem with their decision to cover expenses in order to still offer completely free accounts.

I just received a review telling me my story, Aperio Veneficus, had a DH spoiler warning. Now, as this story was completed in November 2006, I know that's not the case. I think I know what happened. It used to have HBP spoilers warnings. The admins at SH must have just changed the HBP spoiler warning to DH spoilers. Thus, all stories with HBP spoiler warnings now have DH spoiler warnings. Two of my stories and one of my coauthored stories had such warnings as well. I've changed them manually, but I thought you all might like a heads up in case your stories have been affected. Such warnings could drop your hit counts and reviews. *hugs*

Okay, I'm hiding. LOL

After finding out that deepdiscount.com had books to their customers starting Tuesday, there are too many real spoiler chances.

My only comment? Damn, I should have ordered from deepdiscount.com. LOL

Okay, I meant to post my recs before the master list went up. Oh, well. *sigh*

Now, keep in mind that I only read about 1/3 of all the fics. I just didn't have time to keep up. The kids, the house, my husband. Everything has kept me really, really busy.

Anyway, go HERE to view my recs. I don't have time to list the reasons why I like each fic. Some were for the entire story. Some were for fantastic endings. Others were for the brilliant writing. Just trust me, there are wonderful things about each story.

Anyway, this is definitely my last exchange. I just can't keep up with deadlines at my kids' ages. It was fun. :)

I wrote Love and Marriage. It wasn't what I started out to write, but I didn't have time for all of it. :)
